Tele-Actor field test, nov. 7, 2002

Michael Eisen's Life Science Laboratory (LBL)

Location

Michael Eisen Life Sciences Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Date 7 November 2002, 3:45-4:05pm

Scenario summary

Similar to the field test from 25 July 2002, we first taught the Robot, Clone, Human curriculum to the participants over the course of three hours of instruction. Then, on the day of the Tele-Actor field test, the participants learned how a microarray experiment works by completing discovery cycles. In each discovery cycles, participants had to identify lab equipment—each which corresponded to different steps in the microarray experiment—and answer questions about each piece of equipment.
