Each year, a $2000.00 Fellowship will be presented to a junior or senior who demonstrates aptitude, interest in Israel, and the motivation to arrange a personalized research program. The Fellowship will provide partial support for travel to Israel and help offset living costs during the visit.
Candidates must work with faculty at their home schools to develop a brief research proposal and confirm a willing supervisor at one of Israel's universities or research centers (eg, Bar-Ilan, Ben-Gurion, Haifa U., Hebrew U., Technion, Tel-Aviv U., the Weizmann Institute).
Applications are due by the end of March each year. Applications for the Fellowship require no specific forms. Applicants should email in plain text (no attachments) the following information to Taffi Ney: LVJFtaffi@aol.com . A one-page description of the proposed plan of study, name and contact information for your confirmed supervisor in Israel, and the name and email of one additional reference willing to write a letter on your behalf.
The winning candidate will be notified in late April.
